This originated from a 50-minute long jam session. We then took the 50-minute recording, chopped it up into several pieces of various lengths, and spliced these pieces together to form two separate coherent but unconventional pieces of music, making use of changes in rhythm, key, and genre. These two pieces of music were then placed at the beginning and end of a middle section that was separately recorded in a "studio environment", making use of overdubs. This middle section contains input from all band members, including a drum solo by Sebastian, an improvised guitar piece by Joe, and several other odd additions, resulting in an experimental piece of work not unlike musique concrete. Splicing and fading was done to make these three portions all blend together into the final track which you see presented to you here. Future releases will likely make heavy use of this editing technique.
